In this lesson

You are learning lowering yourself to honor others: you will read the scene it happens in, learn 10 words and phrases, take apart the pattern behind them (謙譲語 (kenjougo): humble forms to lower your own actions), hear them in a conversation, rehearse them, and finish by saying one thing out loud to be graded.

The scene

A formal sake tasting event at a hotel in Marunouchi, where the sommelier presents each bottle with humility

The Sommelier's Humble Art
