Between Languages, Between Worlds

Lesson 167 of 170 · Level 6 of 6All lessons
In this lesson

You are learning between languages, between worlds: you will read the scene it happens in, learn 10 words and phrases, take apart the pattern behind them (翻译美学话语 — translation aesthetics and the philosophy of between-ness), hear them in a conversation, rehearse them, and finish by saying one thing out loud to be graded.

The scene

The Nest, Zhongshan Park, reflecting on the art of literary translation over modern Chinese cuisine in a hidden garden restaurant

The Nest。
