You will read the scene it happens in, take apart the pattern behind them (present continuous + time expressions for late night), hear them in a conversation, rehearse them, and finish by saying one thing out loud to be graded.
New York's legendary late-night food culture β the city that never sleeps needs to eat at 1am. Setting: Koreatown (K-Town) on 32nd Street, late Saturday night.
32nd Street between 5th Avenue and Broadway glows with Korean neon signs at midnight. This is K-Town β three blocks of Korean restaurants, karaoke bars, and 24-hour food that keeps New York fed after dark.
Maria, James, and Sofia tumble out of a movie theater at 11:30pm. "I'm starving," Sofia says. "Is anything still open?"
Maria laughs. "This is New York! We're going to K-Town. The Korean BBQ places are open until 4am."
They find a table at Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong. The grill in the center of the table heats up. Brisket, short rib, pork belly β they grill it themselves. Banchan (side dishes) arrive: kimchi, pickled radish, scallion pancake.
"I'm already full," James says, "but should we get one more round of the fried chicken?"
It's 1:30am. "What a night," Sofia says. "Let's do this again."
