Planning a flexible NYC weekend with food options

A Flexible Saturday in NYC

My friend and I wanted to spend Saturday exploring NYC, but we didn't plan everything in advance. We decided to keep things flexible and play it by ear. I said, 'If the weather is nice, we'll start with a walk through Central Park. If it rains, we'll go straight to Chelsea Market.'

Saturday morning came. It looked like it might rain later. We brought umbrellas just in case. First, we headed to the Upper West Side. 'If there's a line at Levain, we'll try the cookies at another bakery,' I said. There was no line -- we got lucky.

After cookies, we took the subway downtown. 'If we have time before lunch, we might check out the High Line,' my friend suggested. We did -- it was beautiful. Then it started raining. Good thing we had a backup plan.

We went to Chelsea Market. 'If Los Tacos is too crowded, we'll try the Thai place instead,' I said. Los Tacos had a line, but it moved fast. We ate amazing tacos. Worst case, we would have gotten Thai food -- also great. By evening, we figured it out stop by stop. The best days in New York are the flexible ones.
