You are learning full day storytelling: you will read the scene it happens in, take apart the pattern behind them (time connectors + story structure), hear them in a conversation, rehearse them, and finish by saying one thing out loud to be graded.
Exploring Manhattan from morning to night. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in between. This lesson combines all past tense skills into one full day narrative — the ultimate storytelling exercise.
What a day. Let me tell you about last Saturday in Manhattan.
First, I went to Russ & Daughters on Houston Street for breakfast. I had a bagel with lox and cream cheese. The line was long but it moved fast. The bagel was perfect — crispy outside, soft inside.
Then I walked through Washington Square Park. Street musicians were playing jazz. I sat on a bench and just watched the city for a while.
After that, I took the subway to Chinatown and had dim sum. The dumplings were incredible. I met some tourists from Brazil at my table and we chatted about New York.
Later, I explored Little Italy and stumbled upon a tiny espresso bar. Finally, I ended up at Joe's Pizza in the Village. I got a plain slice — simple, thin, perfect.
By the end of the day, I was exhausted. But the best part was feeling like a real New Yorker. I couldn't believe how much I did in one day.
