Planning a weekend food tour through NYC neighborhoods
My cousin is visiting from out of town next weekend, and I'm going to take her on the ultimate New York City food tour. I've been planning it all week. We have a loaded schedule.
First up, we're going to start in Chinatown for dim sum. I'm going to take her to Nom Wah Tea Parlor -- they've been open since 1920. After that, we're going to walk to Little Italy and grab cannoli at Ferrara Bakery.
Then, we're going to take the subway uptown and make a stop at Levain Bakery for their famous cookies. She's going to love them. We need to save room though, because next we're going to hit up Joe's Pizza for a slice.
In the evening, I plan on taking her to Katz's Deli for pastrami. If we can squeeze in one more stop, I'm going to check out a new speakeasy bar in the East Village. It's going to be an amazing day. I told my cousin, 'Don't eat breakfast. You're gonna need all the room you can get.'
