You are learning past tense (ने construction): you will read the scene it happens in, learn 10 words and phrases, take apart the pattern behind them (simple past with ने (ne) — transitive verbs), hear them in a conversation, rehearse them, and finish by saying one thing out loud to be graded.

सुबह के दस बज रहे हैं। मैं Leopold Cafe में आया। यह कैफ़े बहुत पुराना है। 1871 से यहाँ है। कोलाबा में हर कोई इसे जानता है। मैं एक टेबल पर बैठा।
वेटर आया। मैंने मेनू देखा। मैंने ईरानी चाय और बन मस्का ऑर्डर किया। चाय बहुत गरम थी। बन मस्का नरम और मक्खनदार था। मैंने सब कुछ खाया।
बगल की टेबल पर एक परिवार था। उन्होंने अंडा भुर्जी और पाव ऑर्डर किया। बच्चे ने कहा 'बहुत स्वादिष्ट!' सबने हँसकर हाँ कहा।
मैंने बिल माँगा। सिर्फ़ दो सौ रुपये। मैंने पैसे दिए और शुक्रिया कहा। Leopold Cafe की सुबह बहुत अच्छी थी।
